Hydrangeas and more....
patricia_y
Hello, everyone! Here I am with the recent news from Little Minds.
First of all I must say : Happy belated Father's Day to all of the daddies! Our preschoolers and Monday Language arts classes did a great job making beautiful and very original cards and gifts for this occasion.

We sure are influenced by gorgeous hydrangeas blossoming all over the Setagaya area, we see them every day, and I find it absolutely incredible that hydrangeas may change till 7 colors while blossoming... Isn't it something?
We tried to make our own hydrangeas for our students' dads. We used light and dark green origami paper, scrap paper, plastic cups
(see-through ones), scotch tape and paper glue. Leaves and flowers are very easy to pre-cut if you are as lucky as we are to have a great assistant like Kaori on a team, who is always ready to help and can cut out almost anything out of paper. I appreciate her help a lot!
Look, what we have created! All of the daddies sure loved their gifts.

Preschool Daisy Class is doing a wonderful job learning about classroom rules and simple commands they need to follow every day. I'm proud, that my son finally was able to join our Daisy class along with the other 2 years old students. Our Sunflower class is taking care of the little students and is being a great sample of communicating in English all day long.

This month we've organized our first OPEN SCHOOL week, we truly appreciate all of the parents, who came to observe the lessons, who asked questions and who understood how much their children try hard and enjoy at the same time learning English at Little Minds. Thank you very much!

Last weekend, Kumiko and I took our children and went to check on a H. C. Andersen Park in Chiba prefecture. Why? Because we think it will be a great location for Little Minds field trip this Summer. We loved the place ourselves and were amazed by a great choice of crafts to do, things to see, places to run around, water play, climb on... Please ask the detailed info from our staff.

We are happy to announce, that Little Minds International School has started using Twitter this month. You can see all of our recent news on our twitter scroll bar located on our home page.

We are also excited to celebrate our 3 years old  little anniversary this month. Happy Birthday, Little Minds!

I see you all at school.

P.S.: Friday is always a Clean - Up Day at Little Minds, all of the teachers are cleaning toys, disinfect all of the flash cards we use during the week. We like to work in a healthy environment.
